New Year Vineland Families.
resume tomorrow, January 6th.
Happy New Year from Vineland's Media Center!
I am looking forward to seeing your happy smiling faces tomorrow after our
Thanks to Marlene Christophers and her awesome
team of volunteers, we raised $1000 from our used book sale which means...
new books for the new year! Look for them on display near the
circulation desk and be the first to check the I Survived series and many
other new books. I have many people to thank for helping me in the
library, especially with reshelving the
books. A wise woman named Christina Phinney
said reshelving is a lot like laundry, you are
never caught up. I have to thank Lucy Villanueva, Carmen Font, Leslie
Sanders and Alina Ramos for popping in to work on getting the books put
back. I appreciate you taking time from your busy schedules. One day I even
had two very young helpers- Emma Sanders and Joshua Font! I thank Ehren Fernandez and Tyler Newlin
for spending their days off from middle school to help out.
My FFEA volunteers are
invaluable in all they do. The work is not glamorous but they are so
faithful in coming back each week. Even our Upper Academy students
pitched in when Green & Gold Day was cancelled. All the students
at Vineland should be commended for putting books back in the right place.
We have a right to be very proud of our wonderful library. Thank you Thank
Another big thank you goes out to Sheri Jude, mom of Samantha and
Nicholas. Sheri contacted me after reading about Isabella Martinez
and her family's gift to the library of magazine subscriptions. Sheri
said she felt inspired to help also. She has donated another magazine
subscription which benefits both the library and her daughter's Girl Scout
troop. I love that these gifts are helping multiple organizations. Thank
you for your thoughtfulness!
Peace, love and books,

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NOVEMBER/DECEMBER
DO THE RIGHT THING WINNERS!
Izabella Costa- 2nd Grade Ms. Blandon
She always tries
her best to do the right thing. Izabella is a hard worker. She takes her
education seriously. She puts forth her maximum effort. What I like the
most about Izabella is her kindness towards her classmates. She is a role
model because she demonstrates the correct way to behave in class and is
always available to help others.
Angelina Nguyen- 3rd Grade Ms. Samuels
Angelina has a
positive attitude towards learning. She loves to be involved in everything
that goes on in the classroom from participating in class discussions, to
helping her classmates solve friendship situations, to helping the teacher.
It is such a joy to welcome the day by seeing the big smile on Angelina's
face when she walks into the classroom every morning.
Martin- 5th Grade Ms. Smith
is such a positive student in everything she does. Even when work is
difficult, she never complains or gives up. She is always enthusiastic and
positive. She is a wonderful role model for other students in the class!
Madisen Maysonet, Lauren
Fernandez, and Arianne Lopez del Rincon-
5th Grade Ms. Donet / Ms. Morales
These 3 students take it upon themselves to clean up the
school. They pick up trash after school on Fridays. No one asks them to do
it. Vineland is so fortunate to have thoughtful students like Madisen,
Lauren, and Arianne.
