the week of February 3-7, 2014, Miami-Dade County Public Schools celebrated
Student Services Week. The intent of Student Services Week is to focus
attention on the Student Services Program as an integral part of the total
educational program at each school. The goal of Student Services is to
consider individual uniqueness, to maximize the development of human
potential, and to address the educational, personal/social,
career/community awareness, and health/wellness
needs of all students. The ultimate purpose is to graduate students who are
able to make self-directed, realistic, and responsible decisions, who are
successful and who contribute positively to society.
