and Tuesday, April 7th and 8th is SAT testing for students in grades K, 1
and 2. It is important for your child to get plenty of rest the night
before, eat a good breakfast and arrive to school on time each day.
Students do better when
they are not stressed and running late, and when they are tested with their
class, not on a make-up day. They have studied hard all year and are
anxious to show how well prepared they are. Help them by providing
them with the very best testing environment possible. They will thank
you for it later.

and Awareness Month
Prevention Month has been observed each April since its first presidential
proclamation in 1983. During April, in communities throughout the nation, thousands
of people demonstrate the need to prevent child abuse and encourage
awareness by wearing a blue ribbon.
The color blue signifies hope. Wearing a blue ribbon is a way to remind
ourselves and others of child abuse prevention efforts across the state.
All students will be receiving a blue Amigos for
Kids pamphlet with valuable information about staying safe.
Additionally, Kindergarten students will receive the Safer, Smarter Kids
Abuse Prevention Curriculum.
