testing continues this week.
Please review the testing
dates. It is important for your child to get plenty of rest the night before,
eat a good breakfast and arrive to school on time each day.
If a student misses a
session he/she will NOT be able to go on to the next session. For
example if a student misses Reading Session 1 on Wednesday he/she will NOT
be able to take Session 2 the next day. All subjects must be tested
in the order assigned by the District.
If a student is absent on
a day testing is scheduled, he/she will be
provided with the opportunity to make up that session during the scheduled
administration period. For example, if a student is absent during the
administration of Reading, Session 1 on Wednesday, he/she would be
re-scheduled to take Session 1 on their return to school. (Note that
tests with two sessions must be completed in order: Session 1 followed by

partnering with you and promoting your involvement in your child's
education. All states must collect this data as part of their State
Performance Plan, as required under the Individuals with Disabilities

April 30 is National
Honesty Day. A former press secretary to the governor of Maryland M. Hirsh
Goldberg came up with the idea. He chose the day in response to April
Fools' Day on the 1st of April which celebrates falsehoods. Goldberg also
wrote a book in 1991 known as The Book of Lies: History's Greatest Fakes,
Frauds, Schemes and Scams. Honesty was our Miami Dade County Public School
Core Value in December. Students learned in classroom lessons that honesty
means dealing truthfully with people, being sincere, not deceiving people,
not stealing, not cheating or lying. Let us be honest on April 30 and all
the days after!
Teacher Appreciation Week
We are getting ready for this year's Teacher Appreciation

memorable one for all of our teachers. If you can help, please
contact us Yolanda Perez at email@example.com
or Maria Tomczak at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you all in advance!
